Rooted and Tall: A Mysticas’ Retreat With Grand Trees

(It’s important that we all understand that most of the forests of Vancouver Island have been cut at least once. While we will be with some truly great Grand Trees, very few of them will be “old growth.”)

To the Indigenous peoples of the Island we call Vancouver, the Cedar was Grandmother, the one who provided almost everything the people needed to survive, indeed, to thrive. We go to the descendants of these Grandmothers to learn the way of the rooted and tall ones. To learn with our bodies the way of light moving through mycelial webs into matter/mother. We train with these great teachers in the alchemical arts of transmutation.
