Program Proposal 2022-23
Open Dates
Thank you for your interest in Bethlehem Centre. The work you do is vital to meeting the needs of people today, and we look forward to further exploring how we may potentially partner together.
Bethlehem welcomes over one hundred and fifty groups to the Centre each year with diverse programming from many spiritual paths and faith communities, as well as a variety of educational and leadership offerings.
As a charitable organization, we are required to offer a specific amount of programming that aligns with our charitable mandate (our purpose). At this time, we only offer marketing for those programs that are sponsored by or in collaboration with Bethlehem Centre itself. Teachers and group leaders are welcome to see if their specific program fits our criteria. The following outlines this process:
1.Before applying, review the Program Proposal application, it outlines our specific charitable mandate and that is designed to help us determine the following:
Compatibility: How well does the program fit with one or more of Bethlehem’s charitable purposes?
Teacher experience and skill: What expertise, skill and following does the teacher/group leader offer?
Marketing Collaboration: Does the offering appeal to the needs of the community so that Bethlehem can attract participants? What networks does the leader have to augment marketing initiatives?
2. If the above resonates with you and feels like a potential fit, please complete the application and forward to us.
3. New proposals are reviewed by the program committee every four to eight weeks. This process can take up to three months, depending on the committee’s meeting schedule. We suggest that proposals be submitted at least three months, preferably six months, in advance.
4. As a part of the process there is often an in-person or zoom interview to enable us to get to know one another and explore the opportunity together.
5. References provided by the applicant will be contacted.
It is important to keep in mind that for us, spirituality without borders means that all are welcome. So even if it is determined that the proposed program is not a fit at this time, you are more than welcome to still book your program, and host your program, workshop or event at Bethlehem. It would just not be branded and marketed as a Bethlehem Centre program.
We appreciate your interest in partnering with Bethlehem Centre and look forward to exploring this opportunity to present your program at Bethlehem Centre.
As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out to seek clarity or talk about your idea.
