What would I do?

After arriving and settling in to your bedroom, dinner is served at 5:30 pm. After this healthy, homemade meal, you might like to explore the grounds and facilities: the pond and little stream, the labyrinth, the chapel, and the small meditation areas overlooking the lake. Before retiring for the evening, you might like to have a look through the library, where you can relax with a new book and a serene view of the lake.

In the morning after breakfast, you might enjoy a stroll around Westwood Lake where you’ll find bluffs with a spectacular view of the lake and Mt. Benson. Feel free to pick up a cup of coffee or tea before lunch. In the afternoon, you might like to schedule a meeting with a spiritual companion, with whom you can explore questions and insights that emerge during your retreat. Then you may like to do some journaling on your own to capture some of the insights from your conversation. After dinner, the gardens are a perfect place to read, watch the sun go down, and pick some blueberries or raspberries for a snack. There are also many meditative spots you might like to visit for your spiritual practices.

The morning is a beautiful time to walk the labyrinth, an ancient tool for walking meditation, and a symbol of your personal journey and spiritual renewal. Then to wrap up your retreat, you might like to arrange for a Reiki treatment, which is a form of energy healing that aids in physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual journeys.

What people are saying……

“Every day I meditated in the chapel, walked the labyrinth, and several days walked around Westwood Lake. I even swam in the lake the past two glorious days. I feel blessed! I’ve had four days in this loving atmosphere to go deeper and to reconnect with the divine energy and beauty within and all around.”

“This is a beautiful centre – surrounded by magnificent creation – conducive to healing which is what I was seeking. I love the little chapel in the basement…it feels so safe and secure.”
