Karen Laine
Over the course of her life, Karen Laine’s healing work and purpose-driven work have woven together into what she now thinks of as teaching deep nature connection, and healing our sense of separation from “other,” in all the ways we define it.
Karen brings a rich background in healthcare, having worked as a nurse, paramedic, and a bodyworker specializing in craniosacral therapy. Her trauma-informed approach led to the development of her own modality: Nature Connected Bodywork.
As a seasoned instructor, Karen teaches practical skills for cultivating personal resilience — including mindfulness, meditation, contemplative practices, and nature connection. She also teaches professional certification programs for Nature Connection Facilitators, Forest Therapy Guides, and Nature Connected Bodywork. She is the principle at www.naturallyresilient.ca
Her own nature connection practice has been the cornerstone of her healing journey — a lifelong discipline that keeps her grounded, resourced, and resilient. Karen holds a deep reverence for the coastal temperate rainforest where she lives, offers gratitude to the ancient grandmother trees she meets. For her, the forest has been teacher, healer, and inspiration.
Karen deeply believes that reconnecting with the natural world has the power to heal, to inspire a state of inter-being, and support personal resilience. Feeling naturally resilient we navigate life with gracefulness,- because we are grounded in a personal practice of embodied connection and supported by a relationship with all the world around us.
